Branch Wedding : Middle Georgia Wedding Photographer

I remember the first time we met Melissa and Jake - the four of us clicked instantly.  I knew, right then, that I was going to love working with them.  Throughout the months leading up to the wedding Melissa kept me up to date on all of the details.  The cake, the dress, the colors, all of it.  I was in heaven!  I love when a bride keeps me up to date on all of the special details.  Not only do I have more information going in, but, I develop a really awesome relationship with the bride.  That's part of what makes my job so special and so incredible.

The day of their wedding was bright and crisp, perfect for their big day.  Melissa was surrounded by some of the funniest most attentive bridesmaids and her loving mom.  They were there for her every step of the way, from zipping her up to holding her makeup bag while she touched up her lipgloss.

I love the colors that Melissa chose for her wedding - they SO fit her.  The bridesmaids dresses blew me away and I LOVED the shoes.

Melissa and Jake's ceremony was so beautiful - they were both positively glowing with happiness!!!

After the ceremony we headed out to take photos of just the two of them.  They are both so easy to work with - they go with the flow and are completely natural in front of the camera.  As per usual I tripped and ended up in a hole, but, these two were so awesome despite my clumsiness!!

This bridal party was so much fun to work with.  They were awesome despite the steadily dropping temps (those poor girls!!!)  They kept us laughing until our cheeks hurt.  I just loved our time with them!

The reception was held at the rustic Yates Lodge.  It was decked out in twinkling lights, Christmas baubles and Melissa's red and black color scheme.  There was a candy bar full of yummy goodies that stayed busy.  The cake & cupcakes were totally gorgeous and delicious.  Melissa truly outdid herself with turning the Yates Lodge into an amazing and warm reception.

After arriving at the reception Jake and Melissa shared their first dance as Mr. and Mrs.  They were still glowing, it was so sweet!

Then it was time for the father/daughter dance:

The dance Jake and his mom shared brought me to tears.  It was one of the most touching parent/child dances I have ever seen!

I quite honestly never expected Melissa to attack Jake with the cake..but I'm so glad she did lol!!!  I don't think he expected it either!!

Everyone at the reception really knew how to party!  Once the music came on the dance floor started hopping.  Everyone was getting in on the action!

I always love watching the guys' reaction to the garter toss.  Without fail, the guys will refuse to make any move to catch it.  Typically it ends up on the ground until somebody caves and picks it up.  Cracks me up every. single. time.  lol!!!

The girls on the other hand don't hold back!  They will jump, run and choke someone out to catch that coveted bouquet!  You never know what is going to happen!

One last shot before I go..the ring shot.  I truly love ring shots - it's so much fun to get creative and play around with different "props" and lighting.  For this one I used some of Melissa and Jake's decorations and the light of my husband's iPhone!

Melissa, Jake, I can't thank you enough for being so wonderful throughout the time we have known you.  We have loved every shoot, every email, every conversation.  Your wedding was absolutely stunning and so were the both of you.  We are lucky to call you our friends and we wish you nothing but an insanely happy life together!

Harvey Wedding : Middle Georgia Wedding Photography

The weekend after Thanksgiving we had the privilege of working with this lovely and kind couple.  They were SO incredibly sweet and patient.  In fact, their entire wedding party, family and friends blew us away with their warmth and hospitality.  The ceremony was held in a beautiful church with some of the most gorgeous architecture.  The day started with Cecilia getting ready with her bridal party and her mom.  Her mother actually made her stunning dress and veil!  It was so beautiful, I was amazed by the attention to detail!  Cecilia was truly glowing when she slipped the dress on!  I just love how her face lit up!

Cecilia and Matthew opted to have a private first sight, in a quiet room of the church.  After, we were able to spend some extra time on their photos, which, as always, made me super happy!

After their photos it was time for the group shots - and boy did this group keep us laughing!!

Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and sweet.  I loved how her long train gently floated behind her as she walked.  I was absolutely mesmerized by the song that her father and siblings sang during the ceremony.  Mac and I still talk about how beautiful it was!!

After the ceremony it was time to head to the reception.  The food was absolutely incredible.  Their families truly outdid themselves, everything was tasty and just...wow!!

I love Cecilia's expression in the second photo of this set - she seriously wasn't sure whether Matthew was going to be sweet about feeding her the cake or not lol!!

Cecilia and Matthew made a grand exit to the waving of streamers which I thought was sweet!  I love how Matthew scooped her up in his arms!

Cecilia and Matthew, we wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love.  We so enjoyed spending the day with you and your beautiful families!!!!  Best wishes you two! ♥♥♥

Sumner Wedding : Middle Georgia Wedding Photographer

In November we had the opportunity to work with this beautiful couple on their big day.  The day started out with Jennifer getting ready surrounded by her bridesmaids and family:

The wedding was held at the beautiful Highgrove Farm in Valdosta. We just loved this venue - it was rustic and charming and just perfect for an outdoor ceremony.  Jennifer and Josh opted to do a "first sight" (which are always so much fun!)

I love that a "first sight" allows extra time for photos of just the couple.  We took advantage of that extra time and had a blast photographing this gorgeous couple.

This wedding party was a total blast - I love it when they let loose and just have fun!

Jennifer and Josh had such a sweet and heartfelt ceremony - there were a few tears and lots of laughs.

This wedding had some of *the* cutest kids...

The venue was decorated beautifully, I just loved the light and airy colors and the hand crafted details!

Before cutting the cake the newlyweds shared their first dance:

Their cake cutting was hilarious.....cake anyone??

After dinner it was time to let loose on the dance floor....and they certainly did!

The couple left to the glow of sparklers....

Jennifer, Josh, congratulations you two!  Thanks so much for allowing us to share your day with you - you were both incredible to work with, we loved every second!!!!  ♥♥♥
