This engagement session very nearly didn't happen. See, Jamie was overseas serving our country and our session was rained out when he was home on a very short vacation home. So, we weren't sure when we were going to be able to squeeze their engagement session in. When he returned home we were still unsure because of conflicting schedules. After some moving dates and rescheduling we finally managed to get their engagement session done. I am so glad we did! I just loved how this session turned out - they make it so easy too. The camera loves them! It started raining in the middle of our session so we took cover until the rain let up some...then, it was back out to wrap up. You can't even tell that we ended up a bit wet lol!
I have to admit it, I adore 1 year sessions. I love nothing more than to watch a little one dig into a cake and just go crazy. I also love the 1 year antics - so. much. fun. I always have a blast at these sessions. This one was no exception. First, look at this little guy! Isn't he adorable???!! He could model! He was a champ through the entire session - even though it was hot, muggy and full of gnats. The rain moved in and we had to duck for cover, but, once it let up we were right back at it.
He was all about the cake. He required no prompting at all - he jumped right in there, face first. Literally. face. first. I was laughing so hard I could barely work the camera. Priceless!
This gorgeous couple totally blew me away with their choice in location for their engagement session. It was just stunning - full of lush greenery, a gorgeous lake and a beautiful boardwalk. We had a wonderful time with this couple - they were so open and friendly and comfortable in front of the camera. I can't wait for their wedding next May!
I absolutely love photographing squishy newborns. I love the chance to cuddle and soothe them (and get my baby fix!!) I also love having the opportunity and privilege to capture such a sweet time in their little lives. This little guy was such a good sleeper and didn't fuss at all when I changed out my backgrounds and props. He slept right through all of it! Isn't he handsome!!
This was one of those sessions that will stick with me for a very long time. We had such a fabulous time with this couple and the location was insanely gorgeous. We all laughed and had a great time together, despite the heat, the spiders and the somewhat tricky local. I am positively ecstatic about their wedding next month and can't wait to be a part of such a special time in their lives.
While this location was simply stunning, it was truly filled to the brim with spider webs and spiders. Every time we turned around we were running into a web and then frantically brushing ourselves off. We resembled a bunch of ninjas out there lol!
